Antenatal Classes in Kumeu, Coatesville & Auckland’s North Shore

Gather’s antenatal classes welcome families from across the North Shore and North-West Auckland, including: Westgate, Kumeu, Huapai, Waimauku, Riverhead, Coatesville, Mairangi Bay, Browns Bay, Long Bay, Takapuna and Albany. Our classes are currently held at New Shoots Coatesville and Folkestone Street Childcare, Murrays Bay.

What we cover:

    • Late Stage Pregnancy Health and Wellbeing: Food safety, screening and testing options, Physical health and wellbeing for you and baby

    • Warning signs in pregnancy - what to look out for and when to contact your LMC

    • Informed consent and Decision making : How to do this and the role your support person plays.

    • Optimal Foetal Positioning - what you can do to help baby be in the best position for birth.

    • Birth place options - where is right for you and how to make that decision

    • Physiological Labour - What labour looks like when it unfolds physiologically when no interventions are needed.

    • Coping with labour - self help tools and techniques as well as medical pain relief options.
